I was hired to make a 3D "scary" Peppa Pig for the YouTube channel, "Cartoon Corruption" that makes horror parodies for kids of some of their favorite shows and games.
I first sculpted a high poly version of the model in Blender. I then made a low poly 're-topologized' version of the mesh, with the help of the "SpeedRetopo" addon. I then UV unwrapped and exported it for texturing in Adobe Substance Painter. I used the high poly sculpt to bake the normal maps and smart materials and some custom painting for the rest of the textures.
This character is going to be animated within Blender for the YouTube series so exported the textures for Blender and hooked them up in Blender's shader editor.
I then built a custom IK rig for animation and delivered the project to the client.
